Dear Family and Friends

I have arrived! Blaine and I left Billings bright and early on Sunday (the 27th) morning. With lots of prayer on my part I was able to stay awake the whole trip, which helped since I was driving. Unfortunately I love to take naps on road trips, but for this one it required me to be awake at all times. The last stretch was busy with traffic as it was the end of the weekend and everyone was heading back home. We made it to the apartment safely and had a great time trying to find parking and then trying to find a spot for the trailer.

Of course Seattle needed to welcome us by raining on us, so we took a break and waited for a lull so we could at least grab the mattresses. Needless to say we got wet but we had something to sleep on. Monday morning I awoke to the smell of the crisp, fresh air that I remembered from when we had visited family when I was younger. I know it sounds weird but I have dreamt of that smell. Well enough with memory lane, and back to reality. We got up and unloaded everything in an hour so we were pretty proud of ourselves. I unpacked for a while and then we decided to go drive around. Thanks to everyone at Rocky Mountain Hospice, we had a great lunch at Applebees. Tuesday morning we got up and headed to the ferry and went over to the peninsula. We drove all the way to Port Angeles. I am so excited to be back by the water. It may be a little colder than the Straits of Malacca or the Indian Ocean but it will do. ? On our way back to the very I caught a glimpse of a sea lion so I thought that was pretty cool.

Once we were back on the eastside we stopped off at a really cool fresh fruit-veggie stand and bought some fruit. We tried these Pluots (a mix between a plum & an apricot), which were quite tasty. Once home it was back to unpacking. While I was doing that, Blaine was in the kitchen creating something edible. As usual he always makes something great. I don’t know how he does it. Today I have driven all over. I did a trial run to my new place of work and timed how long that took in about moderate traffic. I think I will be giving myself 45 min. for my commute. That will take some getting used to but it’s worth it. I also went and got my new driver’s license, which took about an hour to get. At least I have a better picture on this one! We also went to one of the many malls that I can now choose from to shop at. Now who wouldn’t be excited about that! Well I am pretty much settled in. I am glad that I had the few days to do that, and I am so grateful to my brother who has helped me move and teach me how to get around. I don’t know what I would have done without him.

Well work starts for me tomorrow and I know it will be great. I am not looking forward to getting up early but at least I only have to work 2 days and then I get a long weekend. ? Thank you all for your prayers and help. Don’t forget to come visit me out here I will give you the grand tour! Miss you all!

Sincerely, Christy

Arrived in Seattle (actually Bothell)

Just arrived in Bothell, WA to start a new job. The area did not disappoint; by way of greeting there was a downpour of rain. More later.

Yes it actually is Bothell Washington, but who really knows where that is.
