Mini Holiday

Well I thought I had better do a write up before a month passed by. :-) My parents came for a visit and I was able to take a couple of days off from work to hang out with them. We planned a trip to Victoria, Cananda and had a blast. It was beautiful up there and I am so thankful we had decent weather. We went to Butchart Gardens and enjoyed to beautiful flowers. It was a little crowded there, but it was definitely a must see. I was also able to start my christmas shopping at the gift store there. :-) We then headed downtown Victoria and started exploring the shops and sights. I of course had to buy a sweatshirt to add to my ever growing collection of sweatshirts! I did also buy more christmas presents and my dad and I took lots of pictures of cool looking buildings. The next day we found a really cool antique book store and had fun looking through old books. We also checked out a cool castle that we were able to walk around and see most of the rooms and learn a little bit of history. We went out to the Fisgard fort and lighthouse and explored the area around there as well. (Brenna, I took lots of cool pictures of the lighthouse!) We also went to the underground sea thing, but wasn’t too impressed with it. That night we ate at a really good Italian restaurant and then topped off the night with some Gelato ice cream. So again, I packed in a lot of fun into a few days, and I am so glad that I was able to do it with my parents! I think I may lay low for a couple of weeks until another adventure arises. :-)

Labor Day Weekend

Obviously I am a little behind on my posting of events, but at least I am writing something!!! Since I have started working 4 tens at work I have been able to have a 3 day weekend which is really cool! For Labor Day Weekend, it turned into a 4 day weekend, which was even more cool. :-) I flew out Thursday night for California to hang out with Tina for the weekend, and we packed it in. Friday we headed down to downtown San Franscisco and went shopping at the big Nordstrom mall down there. We even bought shoes there… off the discount racks of course! We did find these $500.00 shoes and had to try those on just to say we did, but I didn’t find them very comfortable at all! Saturday, we headed down Hwy 1 and drove down to coast towards Monteray Bay. We stopped and took lots of pictures on the way and had lots of fun. Santa Cruz is definitely on my list to go back and see as I want to ride the roller coaster rides I saw. Monteray Bay was beautiful and we took a walk a long the beach. We also drove around Pebble Beach and along the 17 Mile Drive. The homes are amazing through there! Sunday, Tina let me drive the Murano (since I missed mine so much :-) ) to Yosemite Park and took cool pictures while we were there. Yosemite Falls was all dried up! I didn’t believe her when she said there might not be a waterfall, and there wasn’t. I guess it must have been a hot summer. It was still cool to say I went there and we were able to see one of the other falls that was there as well. Monday, we went and did some shopping at the mall and then it was time for me to head back home to reality. So another fully packed weekend to add to the memory books!

Anniversary

Well it became a year since I moved out here on August 28. I can’t believe that it has been a year already. It seems like so much has happened. It hasn’t always been easy, and I miss my family and friends, but I have seen and done so much in just a year! A BIG thanks to everyone that has supported me during this transition. I should be home for Thanksgiving, so I will try to catch up with family and friends back in Billings.
